Code Analysis

Old-style column alias via EQUAL sign

The ANSI standard SQL uses the AS keyword to specify an alias, delimiting the alias with double quotes where necessary. The assignment syntax is legal only in Sybase and SQL Server so it is not portable to other SQL Database systems such as Oracle or MySQL; likewise, the use of square brackets to delimit the alias when it is not a legal identifier. Microsoft has deprecated the use of single quotes to delimit an alias (see DEP021)
