DLM Automation cmdlets are not available following install
Published 10 March 2016
After installing DLM Automation, the cmdlets are not available for selection in PowerShell, or a script containing the cmdlets fails when run in another tool.
Cause
The PowerShell command prompt or ISE has not recognised that the module exists yet.
Fix
Run one of the cmdlets by typing its name manually. This should cause the application to pick up all the other cmdlets.
Cause
The application you're using to reference the cmdlets was running while you were installing and has not been restarted.
Fix
Restart the relevant application.
If you continue to experience problems, please contact Redgate Support.
Cause
You are running PowerShell version 1 or version 2.
Fix
Upgrade to at least PowerShell version 3 - see the Requirements for more details.
