The Masking Set Notes Form

Often, it is desirable to save annotations or notes with a masking set to document its actions or provide information to users of the masking set. This form provides a means to record textual information with the masking set and also an option to make that information display as a splash screen when the masking set is loaded. This form is activated via the Edit Masking Set Notes button on the Data Masker Client software Misc. Setup Tab.

The Masking Set Title field

A simple one line title for the notes. This is displayed in a slightly larger and bolder font in the splash screen (if enabled).

The Comments and Notes field

Type any comments and notes in this area. The text as long or short as is desired. In the example above the comments are used to document the function and purpose of the masking rules.

Display as Splash Screen

By default, the comments and notes are only displayed if the user of the masking set presses the Show Masking Set Notes button on the Data Masker Client software Misc. Setup Tab. If this option is checked, the comments and notes will display as a splash screen when the masking set is loaded.
