Upgrade Guide

Data Masker allows side-by-side installation of major versions. To support this, Data Masker is installed into a directory that includes its version number. When upgrading major versions, you may have to make some changes to your settings or automation scripts.
The following are common locations that you should check after an upgrade.
PARFILEs
PARFILEs are used for command line automation and may include the full path to Data Masker's installation directory. Check DATASETSDIR for references to the version of Data Masker, and ensure it matches the version you're running.
Custom data set directories
Data set directories include built-in data sets as well as your custom data sets. If you're using a custom data set directory, ensure you copy across the latest version of the built-in data sets from the installed version of Data Masker.
Your data set directory setting
If you've changed your data set directory, it will no longer automatically change with the version of Data Masker you've installed. Check "Directory for DataSets" on the "Misc. Setup" tab matches the version of Data Masker you're using.
