Redgate Monitor AI data handling
Published 13 November 2025
When you use Monitor AI features in Redgate Monitor, Redgate may transmit your query text, execution plan, and explain plans to its dedicated AI services. This is solely for the purpose of generating optimizations or explanations with appropriate context. No data sent in this manner is stored or used to train machine learning models. It is processed transiently and cannot be accessed by Redgate once the response is generated.
Redgate may also collect usage metrics to help enhance the Monitor AI experience. These metrics include which Monitor AI features are used, how they are used, and how frequently. However, no query, execution plan, or explain plan content is collected, stored, or accessible by Redgate.
Monitor AI is an opt-in feature, and can be disabled at any time. Organisations may also restrict access centrally if required.
Monitor AI does not access or transmit any actual data stored in your connected databases.
