About SQL Clone

SQL Clone is a technology for creating many ‘clones’ of a Microsoft SQL Server database. These clones can be created in a few seconds, use little disk space, and are independent of each other. You can use these clones just like any other SQL Server database. In each clone, only the differences between the clone and its read-only data image are stored.

By cloning databases in seconds and saving up to 99% disk space, Redgate's SQL Clone tool enables rapid and repeatable SQL Server provisioning. It's launch encourages the adoption of database Devops and has confirmed Redgate as he leading Microsoft SQL Server tools vendor.
