There are 3 installation steps required before you can start creating clones

1. Installing the SQL Clone Server and the associated configuration database
2. Installing an Agent which will be used to create the image of a database
3. Installing an Agent which will be used to create a clone of the database

If the copy of the database being cloned is going to be used from the same SQL Server instance as the source database then only one Agent needs to be installed.
