Smart Rename is greyed out

Sometimes the Smart Rename option is greyed out in SQL Refactor's menu.
How to fix
A valid database object must be selected before the option becomes available. Selecting an object in SQL Server Management Studio's object browser that is capable of being renamed will make the menu item available.
