SQL Backup 9

Version 9.0.3 May 16th, 2017

This release of SQL Backup includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

SqbHostedStorageClient can access AWS Command Line Configuration
SqbHostedStorageClient can store custom meta
All current AWS S3 regions are supported - that is, Mumbai, Canada Central, London and Ohio are added in this version.

Improved error messaging/logging when the GUI initially communicates with the backup agent
Made it easier to click on the error box when there is a connection error with the server
Stopped requesting backup/restore data when initially connecting, if the user has requested NONE for the amount of backup and restore history to import
Improved dialog layout on Linking to AWS on "Scheduled Backup Jobs"

This release of SQL Backup includes the following bug fixes:

Updated OLR to current version of BackupReader
SqbHostedStorageClient Uploading now logs to C:\ProgramData\Red Gate\Logs\SQL Backup 9\
SqbHostedStorageClient now runs under either .NET 3.5 or .NET 4

This is a major release of SQL Backup which includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

SB-5781 Allow users to force buffered file access for backup and restoring
SB-5782 Allow users to connect to remote shares using different credentials
SB-5784 Allow updating of Backup files to have LSN to work when DFS-N & DFS-R replication in use
SB-5785 Upgrading of Backup components check that a backup is not currently active
SB-5793 Update the UI when modifying the schedules for jobs
SB-5794 Allow Jobs to have no schedules (by default this is not enabled.)
Allow sqbdir to output administrative shares
Fixed occasional problems with SQLite and journalling
