Installing SQL Monitor

If you simply need to monitor a number of SQL Server machines and instances, all on a local network domain, then installing SQL Monitor requires minimal preparation, and the installation process will take a few minutes. 

For larger, enterprise-level installations, you will want to take more time in the planning and preparation stage, as described in Planning the SQL Monitor infrastructure and installation.
