SQL Prompt 11

SQL Prompt AI data handling

When you use Prompt AI features in SQL Prompt, if the Generate initial suggestions using SQL History option is enabled, Redgate may transmit your prompt, the contents of your query window, relevant database schema information or SQL History to its dedicated AI service. This is solely for the purpose of generating SQL code, SQL suggestions or explanations with appropriate context. No data sent in this manner is stored or used to train machine learning models. It is processed transiently and cannot be accessed by Redgate once the response is generated.

Redgate may also collect usage metrics to help enhance the Prompt AI experience. These metrics include which Prompt AI features are used, how they are used, and how frequently. However, no query window content, SQL history, schema details, or any other database information is collected, stored, or accessible by Redgate.

Prompt AI is an opt-in feature, and can be disabled at any time via the settings menu. Organisations may also restrict access centrally if required. See our AI FAQ on full instructions on how to do this.

Prompt AI does not access or transmit any actual data stored in your connected databases.

For more information about our data collection policies, refer to our Information collected by Redgate products page.
