Restored tabs not being automatically reconnected in SSMS 18.0-18.4

(warning) Please upgrade SQL Server Management Studio to v18.5 or higher if your tabs are not being reconnected at startup.


From SQL Prompt v10.2.0, tabs restored on startup of SQL Server Management Studio may no longer reconnect automatically in SQL Server Management Studio versions 18.0 to 18.4. This is due to an internal change made by Microsoft to SQL Server Management Studio.


To get your restored tabs to reconnect automatically on startup, please upgrade SQL Server Management Studio to v18.5 or higher.
