Getting started with the Redgate Platform
Published 17 August 2021
The Redgate Platform provides a centralized mechanism to allow sharing of items from within SQL Prompt. This mechanism works by synchronizing the shared items with the Redgate Platform on a regular basis.
When items are shared, they are copied to the Redgate Platform on synchronization. When the synchronization runs, any shared items will be downloaded ready for use.
When the Redgate Platform is disconnected (e.g. when you are offline), any previously synchronized shared items will still be able to be used locally, but they will no longer be updated:
- any changes you make to your shared items will not be seen by other users
- any changes to items shared by other users will not be see by you
To get started, you will need to connect to the Redgate Platform.
