SQL Prompt 10

End of support for SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2

SQL Prompt v10.7 and later will no longer support SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2.

You will still be able to connect to these versions of SQL Server, but they will not be supported.

More details

SQL Server 2008 and 2008 R2 were released over 10 years ago and have now passed both their mainstream and extended support dates. This means that Microsoft are no longer supporting them as database platforms, and recommend upgrading to a later version of SQL Server.

As a result, SQL Prompt will no longer support connecting to these versions of SQL Server. You will still be able to connect to these versions of SQL Server using SQL Prompt, and the functionality will most likely continue to work as it has done, however new fixes and features will only be released for newer versions of SQL Server.
