SQL Data Catalog saves application logs under the environment it's being installed in order to make the troubleshooting easy. Web server and windows service components of SQL Data Catalog logs regularly into files under %ProgramData%\Red Gate\Logs\SQL Data Catalog. Log files under those folders have a daily rolling policy by default.

Getting the Logs Inside the Application

A zip file containing all application logs can be downloaded in the 'Settings' section of the Data Catalog. When reporting an issue, please download this file and include it with your bug report.

Alternatively, you can manually zip the contents of %ProgramData%\Red Gate\Logs\SQL Data Catalog and include the resultant file.
