Redgate Monitor 14

Disabling use of Monitor AI

Redgate Monitor AI is disabled by default, and can only be configured by an Administrator user of the solution. You have multiple options for disabling use of AI services:

Remove access in Redgate Monitor's UI

If Monitor AI has been set up, they can be disabled again by an Administrator user.

Navigate to the AI Settings page, delete the email address and Personal Access Token, and save those settings. AI-powered functionality will no longer be available to users of the tool.

Prevent configuration at an infrastructure level

You can set an environment variable on the machine running Redgate Monitor to prevent even an Administrator user of the solution from configuring AI services.

Connect to the machine running the Redgate Monitor Webserver service. Create an environment variable called SQLMONITOR_HideAIAssistantFeatures and set its value to true.

AI-powered functionality will not be available to users of the tool, and the AI Settings page will prevent setup from happening.

Opt a whole domain out of access

Access to Redgate AI features can be enabled/disabled at a per-product level for an entire domain. Please contact support@red-gate.com to add your domain names to a block list to prevent the use of the AI features for Personal Access Tokens associated with all accounts belonging to a domain.
