DLM Dashboard 1.3 release notes

1.3.2 - May 13th, 2015

In this release we've made using Windows Authentication a bit clearer, and fixed several significant bugs.

Features

  • The user that Windows Authentication uses is now displayed.
  • There's more in-app help to explain how to change the Windows Authentication user.

Fixes

  • An issue where the DDL trigger caused indirect recursion has been fixed.
If you've run into this problem, you can now update the DDL trigger using this SQL script to fix it.
  • Improvements to the installer.
  • Resolved issues with timeouts when upgrading DLM Dashboard to latest version.

1.3.1 - May 6th, 2015

In this release, we're shipping all the improvements we've been working on to existing users of DLM Dashboard. Essentially, that's the new categories and the new look - see previous release notes back to 1.2.6 for full details.

Fixes

Various fixes in the process to migrates existing users away from projects and environments, to categories.

1.3.0 - April 29th, 2015

In this version of DLM Dashboard, we've replaced environments with categories. For more information about why we've done this, read our product manager's blog post, Organizing Databases on the DLM Dashboard.

Features

  • Categorize databases into Development, Integration, Testing, Acceptance, and Production.
  • Group the dashboard by server or by category (and the dashboard remembers which one you chose).
  • You can now see which server a database is on.
  • Notifications are on their own configuration page, and the top-level menu.

Fixes

  • Long database names no longer overflow in Firefox 37.
  • If the password field on the database configuration page is empty, a validation error is shown (instead of an exception being thrown).
