How to move DLM Dashboard configuration from one installation on old machine to new machine.

Before you start

Make sure that the new machine can access monitored servers in the same way as the old machine.

Note: This may cause a rehashing of the snapshots which can spike your RAM usage during the process.

           If your RavenDB is very large it may not succeed in this task. In this case the only fix at this time is to

           this is to delete the RavenDB folder located at %ProgramData%\Red Gate\SQL Lighthouse\RavenDB.  

          You will then need to reconfigure DLM Dashboard.

Instructions

1. On the new machine, create a new folder with this location:
   %ProgramData% \Red Gate\SQL Lighthouse
2. On the old machine, copy the contents of the folder %ProgramData% \Red Gate\SQL Lighthouse
3. Paste the contents of that folder into the folder you created on the new machine.
4. On the new machine, install DLM Dashboard as normal.

When you start DLM Dashboard, your old configuration should be there.

If there are connection errors on the dashboard

These are most likely caused by the server and database credentials, which you'll need to re-enter on the configuration pages.
