SQL Monitor 3

Managing security and user roles

SQL Monitor is a web application accessed using a web browser within your LAN. Certain aspects of SQL Monitor may require security considerations, such as storing credentials and encrypting data. For more details, see Managing security in SQL Monitor.

When you first install and run SQL Monitor, you are prompted to create an Administrator password. Every user accessing SQL Monitor web pages with Administrator permissions will need to enter this password to log in. Once you've logged in as an Administrator, you can create Standard and Read-only user roles, and reset their passwords on request. See Managing user roles.

For details of how to reset the Administrator password, see Resetting your SQL Monitor password.
