Moving stored procedures from master

In DLM Dashboard 1.7.0, we moved the default location for the stored procedure server objects from master to the Redgate database. This is because some users have restricted permissions on their master database.

If you've upgraded from DLM Dashboard 1.6.8 or earlier to DLM Dashboard 1.7.0 or later, any new servers you start monitoring will use the Redgate database for the stored procedures. For servers you're already monitoring, the stored procedures will stay in master.

If you want to move a server's stored procedures to the Redgate database:

  1. Click Configuration.
  2. Find the server that you want to update.
You'll see an Update button to the right of the servers that haven't been updated.
  3. Click Update.
  4. Re-enter the authentication details for the server.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. You'll be prompted to re-run the SQL script that sets up the server for monitoring. To find out more about the script, see About the DLM Dashboard server objects.
