This page details everything you need to do to have a working version of the subsetter on your system.

CLI only

Please note that this focus on installation of the CLI version of the capability. Please check the installation guide for usage in the Redgate Test Data Manager GUI.

Before you begin

We do not require elevated access to execute the CLI executable.

Installation

All distributions of the subsetter CLI binaries are packaged using zip for all host operating systems.

Download the latest subsetter for your operating system.
Extract the compressed file/Copy CLI binary to a folder of your choosing.
OPTIONAL Add subsetter folder to your PATH so it's accessible from anywhere in your environment.
OPTIONAL Try the --version command to check the subsetter is running correctly.
