Redgate AI is the collective term for all AI-powered features and capabilities that span across Redgate's software portfolio.

Individual Redgate AI features can have differing implementations, leveraging :-

  2. Redgate's own hosted custom models
  3. On-device machine learning solutions

Redgate AI features are opt in. End users will need to sign up and opt in to use Redgate AI features. Please consult the relavant product documentation on how to achieve this.

Please contact support@red-gate.com to add your domain names to a block list to prevent the use of the AI features.

Access to Redgate AI features can be enabled/disabled at a per-product level.

Redgate AI makes all AI requests to *.redgate-platform.com

If your organization enforces it, you will need to set this subdomain in your firewall rules and allow lists to enable Redgate AI features.

  • No data stored in tables is sent.
  • Information sent to Redgate AI service is used only to construct the response and isn't retained by the service.
  • Some Redgate AI capabilities rely on context saved in a locally installed vector database.

Detail on the specifics of the information sent to the Redgate AI service is outlined in the per product documentation.

Redgate LLM features are powered by a combination of public AI models to provide the best possible outcome (all subject to our privacy guidance). These are all hosted on Redgate’s Amazon Bedrock server.

They are hosted in Frankfurt, London, Ireland, and Paris.

  • No, we do not use any external data
  • Our models are the same as those available for public usage (see models used)
  • The data is used to fulfill the needs of the Redgate AI-powered feature.
  • Redgate agrees to not use customers input data for training models other than for use by the customer. 
  • Redgate does not store customer data for longer than it needs to fulfill the AI-powered feature.

Product specific information

Redgate Monitor's AI-powered features are available in version 14.3 onwards, with an active subscription to Redgate Monitor, SQL Toolbelt or SQL DBA Bundle (perpetual licenses are excluded). Once you have this version installed, you will be able to opt-in to the Monitor AI features by following instructions in Setting up Monitor AI.

Monitor AI has a fair usage rate limit in place. Once this limit is reached, users will see a message notifying them that they’ve hit the cap.
