Managing security and user roles
Published 28 October 2013
You access SQL Monitor over your local area network. You might want to think about security for things like storing credentials and encrypting data. For more details, see Managing security in SQL Monitor.
When you first install and run SQL Monitor, you create an administrator password. You need this password to log in as an administrator. After you log in, you can create Standard and Read-only user roles and reset their passwords on request. For more information, see Managing user roles.
To reset the administrator password, see Resetting your SQL Monitor password.
