  1. Check prerequisites and access permissions
  2. Install SQL Monitor components - Base Monitor, Web Server and Data Repository
  3. Create an Administrator password
  4. Choose the servers you want to monitor
  5. Activate server licenses
  6. Configure email settings for alerts
