Configuring the shadow database

Deployment Suite for Oracle has been replaced by Redgate Deploy - Oracle. This page is therefore no longer being updated. For the latest documentation, please click here.
In order to generate migrations, Redgate Change Control currently requires a shadow database to be configured. For more details see Shadow Database.
Although using a shadow database is the recommended approach, we are investigating ways to enable users to generate migrations without having a shadow database. If you are trying out this experimental feature (known as Shadow Scripts Folder), please do contact us - we would love to understand more about how we can help you.
